Module 3 Reflective Forum
As discussed in week three study, consequentialism is all about being good if the outcome is good. According to Machiavelli’s famous words, the end would justify the means of the action. If the outcome or result of the action is good, it would be denoted as good (Tavani, 2011). However, consequentialism has further two important theories. One is ethical egoism, and the other is utilitarianism.
Understanding the importance of self-driven vehicle from the perspective of consequentialist invites further arguments. Firstly, the automatic vehicle is a revolution as the car would no longer require a human driver. Furthermore, driving would be free of human error which would reduce the chances of accidents (Verbeek, 2011). The users of the car would have more privacy during their tour and would be free from being late. But, is this technology ethical and do good for all the people or good of others?
There are two people involved in the argument. The passenger and the driver. The utilities of self-driven vehicles only limit itself to the comfort of the passengers. The drivers and their issues are completely ignored. While considering the ethics of self-driving technology, all the people involved in the action has to be considered (Crane & Matten, 2016). In the particular given case of a self-driven vehicle, the utilitarianism theory would be involved.
The utilitarianism theory reflects that the outcome of any action would be ethical only if it can do well to all others. It is the general good of all which raises an ethical decision making, and the action is considered good. Hence, keeping the utilitarianism theory, the technology of self-driven vehicle is not an ethical technology. It does look after the comfort of the passenger, but it does not consider the future of human driver who is or was driving a car for a living. The use of the automatically driven vehicle would force to downsize the driving sector (Dierksmeier, et al., 2016). Many drivers would be forced to lose their job, and it would create a negative effect in their life. The ‘end’ as marked by Machiavelli would not be good or bring fruitful result. Another person would be sacrificed of his job and earning to provide more convenience to car driving. Therefore, the technology is highly non-ethical from the angle of human rights.
Utilitarianism theory fails as the good is only being done to the rider and the driver would eventually lose the opportunity of a job and earn. Therefore, from a consequentialist perspective, the self-driving technology is not ethical technology.
Module 4 Reflective Forum
Deontological or non-consequentialist ethics states that ethical decision-making would not be dependent on the consequence of the action that is considered in question. The action would be judged regarding good or bad irrespective of the outcome.
In the provided case, the ethical approach of a self-driving car is going to be judged through the lens of deontology. Kant’s practical imperative has to be considered (Harris, et al., 2011). The practical imperative is the principle that respects all the people, and it lays down a directive against exploitation. Furthermore, duty ethics highly applies to the situation. All people have certain moral duties that they have to abide by.
If the self-driving car technology is considered, it is a revolutionary advancement no doubt. Besides, it would provide an advantage to the customer, and the affordable pricing can be expected for a ride. On the other side, the drivers would lose their job due to the automatic technology (Goodall, 2014). Hence, there is a breach of ethics. In fact, the duty ethics is being breached in the situation. As the people must develop and introduce advanced technologies for the betterment of people, there should be initiatives to preserve the workforce.
The self-driving system would facilitate the customer, but the issue is that the drivers would lose their job, as there would be no more drivers required for the purpose. Hence, the technology is unethical according to the deontological approach. Ethical technology is which respects all the people and considers each one’s advantage and disadvantage while introducing technology and its advancement. Automatic techniques are facing a moral dilemma for the same reason (Winston & Edelbach, 2011). Hence, the inventors of self-driving technology are breaching the duty ethics, as their invention would cut off the drivers from the equation. Therefore, the technology would only consider a safety about the certain people, i.e. the customers. The situation of the drivers or people who work by driving would not be able to carry on their livelihood in case the technology is introduced to the market. Therefore, according to deontological approach, the technology is unethical.
As an outcome of the self-driving technology, the sale of the car would increase. People who do not know to drive a car would be able to maintain a car as it is self-driven. Hence, the car companies would have an increase in their sales. Nevertheless, the drivers who earn their living through driving would eventually lose their job in the end.
Module 5

Yes, the alternative frameworks can be applied to the self-driving car problem. It is because the issue is a modern day issue and practical approach should be utilised to identify its ethical approach (Kagan, 2018). It should consider the aspect of a commuter as well as the situation of a driver who earns a living through driving.
Virtue ethics highly applies to the situation. Practical wisdom determines good virtue or character. Hence, the concept of creating a self-driven vehicle would have been deemed as a good deed as it would have brought happiness to both driver and the commuter. However, the commuter is given the most priority and driver is given least importance (Amstutz, 2013). Therefore, the technology is not ethically right and effective. According to an alternative view, practical wisdom should be applied to perform a good value. However, overlooking the life of the driver is not at all practical.
According to virtue ethics, the good deed or ethical technology would have been which reduces the error of human driver and makes travelling more comfortable for the commuter (Kagan, 2018). For example, a GPS technology makes life easy for the driver and commuter can know which route the car is using. In fact, the virtue ethics would have been successfully met as both the drivers and the passengers would receive some advantage without hurting each other’s existence.

The three recent have helped to gain an overview of various ethical theories and how they govern the real-life scenarios. Various ethical theories like virtue ethics, deontological ethics, and other associated aspects have been studied. This knowledge would help me to judge a situation based on its ethical consideration. I had the chance to go through the origin of ethics where the Aristotelian theory of ethics had been considered. The ancient ethics theories consider the Nicomachean theory, divine command and the golden rule ethics. These theories form the ancient ideas that put religion and ethics in a parallel line. The approaches have taught me to identify a situation in an ethical manner. Hence, it would help me to solve the problem depending on the situation, which is provided in hand. The first step to problem-solving is to provide an understanding of the situation and ethical decisions based on its approaches. Hence, the identification of ethical approach to a situation would help to fulfil the required problem and its solution.

Module 6
Human rights are the rights that are enjoyed by human and are to be maintained by the others as well as the state. Ethics and human rights have close contact. The human rights are ethical by nature unless it is creating a problem for someone else. For example, any human has the right to have food. However, if he or she steals the food from others or injures someone for food, the human right is no more ethical (Ife, 2012). However, the link between the human rights and the ethics cannot be denied. If anyone is devoid of the human rights due to someone else has vested decision, there is a clear breach of human rights. For example, if the medical fund, which provides medical facilities to the citizens are being, channelised somewhere else, thus overlooking the medical facility, it is a clear breach in ethics and violation of human rights. The fund transfer elsewhere is hampering the general health standards of the citizen. Hence, ethics and human rights are connected in a way based on conditions of the situation.
Protection of human rights is ethically based on condition. It is because the act is helping someone else to acquire his or her basic rights to food, shelter, medicine or education is deemed as an ethical or noble initiative (Hathaway, 2017). However, if someone else’s human rights were hurt for preserving someone else’s rights, it would be an unethical attempt to preserve the human rights. In no way, it can be deemed as an ethical action though there is involvement of others and protection of their human rights.
Whether the human rights are ethical or not depends on what actions are being taken to preserve the human rights. Sometimes right to the movement to certain areas are restricted for the betterment of all others. For example, a normal person cannot walk into an ordinance factory and walk out with the desired gun (Monteiro, 2014). In simple terms, the rights of movement are restricted so that there is no scope of hurting or harming others.
Ethics do not always mean only protection of human rights. There are ethical theories like the utilitarian theory that judges the action and outcome of the action. Hence, it can be mentioned that ethics do not only focus on protection of human rights, but it has other purposes too. However, maintaining the human rights is of course considered as the ethical action.

Module 9
According to the recent survey, 95 per cent of the respondents believe that it is necessary to be kind. Further 97 per cent of people identified themselves as the kind person. Among the total respondents, 90 per cent of the people had recorded at least one act of kindness per week. However, there is a sign of moral decline (Mendes, 2017). Two associated thought process identifies the reason for the moral downfall. The first thought process identifies the weak community as a primary reason for moral degeneration. People of Australia have tended to become less friendly or kind.
However, Australia is a welfare state. It is marked as a social achievement. The notion of the welfare state is that the government is responsible for the welfare of the people. The welfare is constituted through income support, education medical facility etc. Just like other similar democratic nation, Australia has been following the fabric of a welfare state (Forrest & Murie, 2014). However, Australia has been criticised due to the system disadvantage and over-relying on public provision services. Just like other countries, the modern period is forcing a change in the concept of welfare state and emergence of neo-liberalism idea that is forcing welfare state to become new and different form.
In support of a welfare state, Australia has been able to provide its citizen with the public services that work as the welfare of the people. Each Australian citizen enjoys equal rights and a similar system of liberty for all of them (Kingfisher, 2013). This notion adds to the identification of a welfare state. Social justice is an important component of a welfare state. The current world is undergoing a dynamic situation where the conventional public welfare based system is changing. New emergent beliefs and conventions are changing the public welfare to modern approaches.
Whether Australia would continue to be a welfare state is hard to predict. However, in literal terms, the presence of social justice and the equal rights of all the citizens can help identify Australia as a welfare state. Nevertheless, there are issues with a welfare state that are coming up and forcing new theories or approaches to rise. When a country is too much dependent on public welfare services, some corruptions are bound to occur (Kingfisher, 2013). Furthermore, the global economy is forcing the welfare services to be outsourced or managed by private companies that are gripping a particular sector. There are high chances that in the end, Australia might face problem from over-relying on the private companies.

Module 13
The coursework helped me explore through consequentialism ethics, non-consequentialism ethics, alternative theories, human rights, social justice and professional justices. The topics that I learnt have provided me knowledge of ethics which are prevalent in the society, workplace and as a nation. The approach, of course, is designed in a systematic manner that begins with the smaller picture, the ethics of an individual, rise to the society, state and workplace (Kagan, 2018). The learning of the ethics has opened my eyes towards various aspects. It would help me to view any people equally as I would now respect their human rights which they possess. The learning of ethics has provided the ability to acute decision-making and identification of the problem. It has helped me to broaden my mind and look at the situation and things in a way that was never seen as before.
The knowledge has of course risen by respondents regarding professional as well as civic responsibilities. Any experience of a breach of human rights would now be of my concern. Whether it is about my rights or my neighbours preserving the human rights would be my duty. Besides, I would help others to realise and learn about their civil rights that they possess (Baird, et al., 2012). In this way, I would be able to make the society more aware and conscious of their rights. In fact, it should be the responsibility of knowledgeable people to share the knowledge to others betterment. It would again be an ethical action that is for the betterment of the masses.
Regarding professional responsibility, the welfare of the organisation as well as the client is both my duty. I have to make sure that the organisation utilises an ethical method to do its business and it does not breach any human rights. Besides, I have to ensure that the client is treated ethically. Any personal information taken from the client possesses ethical consideration and consent of the client is taken (De George, 2011). The client should also get the freedom to agree or disagree to share information. I would have to whistle blow when the ethical approach or action is not utilised. Unethical methods always go against the organisation or an individual. Besides, the unethical action is meant to suffice any person or a group’s interest. Hence, it would be my responsibility to expose any such dealings or situations that would hamper the reputation of the organisation or a client.

Issues of Social Justice in Australia.

According to Leonard (2004), Social Justice involves structuring the quality of general social relations in various organizations and institutions for the good of the society. These issues may include, education, law, peace and harmony and therefore drugs. Therefore, social values encompass a strong belief based on the existence of end-state that is exclusively preferred by the society. These, however, contribute a lot to human values and thus all humans possess similar nature values but to different degrees. He added that these values according to Rokeach, could be traced to culture and therefore to the society as a whole possessed everywhere by individuals. For instance, Australia recorded higher percentage when ranked as compared to members of other culture of these values based on Rokeach.

It is therefore worth noting that social justice forms an integral part especially to the Australian’s way of life. However, Linden (1995) revealed that Australians mostly adhered and strictly followed the beliefs concerning the true friendship among those they interact with, quality and perhaps extended mind.  However, despite the significant role these values play in the society, some of the Australians do not manifest them, especially in social operation.

However, as we know changes are inevitable throughout the lifetime of an individual and so is the human values. He further suggested that certain values, beliefs, and social practices may change from time to time depending on the culture of a given society. For instance, what individuals identified and considered to be fair and just may be seen or taken to mean opposite in the contemporary society. Moreover, these changes may change dramatically based on circumstances in a given country. These dramatic changes may include, bestowing recognition of citizenship to especially the Australians based on Australia’s national referendum that was passed in 1967. According to Macintyre, social justice involves equity and equality of respecting and adherence to law and ways of achieving good and enough living standards and conditions respectively. In order to achieve these conditions of social justice, it must be based on a matter of perception and therefore positive attitude that will result in good behavior and social practices of exclusion.

It is, therefore, worth to note that, social changes are only enhanced by both governmental and interpersonal political machinations in order to achieve the main objectives of social justice such as equity, equality and thus inclusion for the smooth running of the country.  Leonard (2004) further postulated that the Australian governments which have successfully established and developed the present climate of social justice despite the challenges and issues presented to them by their opposition side had established strategies and policies that are effective and essential in achieving their objectives. Interestingly, Australia’s opposition, Liberal and national Coalition under John Howard the prime minister led to a termination of a promised social environment with an intention of achieving the values of equality, and mate-ship. As a result, it championed on the world stage to establish the international standards of human rights and social justice. They, however, achieved this due to the strategies and policies that they had established, reinforced, formulated, implemented and practiced fully.

Speech: International Human Rights-Answer

Ladies and Gentlemen!

 

I am honoured to briefly talk about a very important topic “international human rights”. As a representatives of the people of this world, United Nations attaches serious importance to the protection of human rights. The international human rights refer to the rights which each and every human being owns. To highlight and increase the awareness of people about their international rights, UN celebrates Human Rights Day on December 10 each year. Under UN, each and every human being on this earth has a right to speech, vote, education, and many more. These rights have not been given to the human beings casually; these have been given after many issues and debates. Even though, countries and states strive to provide human rights to the people, however, it is responsibility on us to avail these rights.

It is matter of happiness for us that there are a number of countries and unions around the world which strive for the international human rights. For example, European Union since it came into being; it has made protection of human rights as the base of union itself and considers the aspect of human rights in its external and internal policies. The union considers all the human rights are indivisible, universal, and interdependent without any difference between social, political, civil, and cultural rights.

Even though, there is no distinction made and the rights stand on equal footing however, it is point of serious concern that the number of players investing in protection of international human rights in the global scene are shrinking. There are some countries which have withdrawn their selves from the International Criminal Court while, other are critics of the idea of continental system to watch over the human rights. It is important for us to understand that when rights of one person are abused, we all are less secure and safe. The world would be less resilient, more fragile, and an easier target for radicalisation if human rights are not guaranteed. It is important for us to strive for protection and implementation of international human rights to promote respect for human rights in our day to day lives.

5.  Evaluation of learning

  • Awareness of student’s experience

I always kept a continuous line of communication with my students. Using the method, I gathered information or feedback about the student, how they are learning and the experiences.  I utilized a chat system where students can personally contact me and discuss their issues and problems (Fletcher & Mullen, 2012). It is a method how I gather student’s experience when they are under my mentorship.  The methods which I have invested in training the students have focused on associating the subjects with an innovative learning approach and engagement methods for the students. It is my idea that the learning methods need to be appealing to the students to provide them a better experience of learning.

I feel it is an important aspect as it has an enormous effect while teaching method is applied to the students.  I feel in current scenario it is very important to learn how the students are doing and how they feel about the learning experience (Pomeroy & Steiker, 2011).  It would provide my assessment of how I am imparting training to the students and how the students are feeling about it. In fact, I have been able to identify that the students are learning fast and they are quite efficient in their coursework and the assignments.

  • Interpretation of Student’s account

According to the students they are quite comfortable with my mentoring style. They can easily engage themselves with the method of teaching and associate themselves. However, two of the students are having a hard time adjusting to the new method of teaching.  Besides, the innovative learning environment is something which they are finding hard to manage (Barnett, 2011).  I have heard their comments and feedback about the issues. Hence I have decided to help them to get acquainted with the method and help them to adjust with better learning method. Furthermore, they have asked my assistant to help them get acquainted with the learning method so that they can easily join the class.  Lastly, one of the students who are already easy with my teaching method has agreed to collaborate with me to help others (Fletcher & Mullen, 2012).  It is their views that helping a collaboration and learning environment would help me to improve my teaching, student learning and imparting the knowledge.

  • Changes Need to be made

The changes which need to be made is that I would start a discussion forum where all students can access the forum and record their comments and discussion on any topic. The next change would be to facilitate the two new students who are having issues with understanding my teaching methods (Lattanzi, et al., 2011). For this reason, I would engage with the two students separately along with a compressive outline of my mentoring style. Though it might take extra effort, the aim to helping the two students would be fulfilled.  Further changes which I would invest is to improve the feedback channels where students can access in a better manner.

6. Context of Practice

  • Resources in Use

I have utilized the blended method of asynchronous and synchronous learning which have been specially designed to meet the issues of Interprofessional education or IPE. In fact, the method has been widely used in healthcare fields of professional learning (Goodlad, 2013). The method has been observed to have met the Core competencies of Interpersonal, collaborative practice. It had helped to prepare better the team which was based on care. I have implemented a blended method of asynchronous and synchronous learning style to acquire more flexibility and reduce the disadvantage of the system.

The methods have been widely facilitating the healthcare system learning. However, I have tried to utilize the effectiveness of the resource which is a good method to train the students. I believe that effective and tested resources always can adjust themselves in other curriculums (Pomeroy & Steiker, 2011). Hence I chose the resources from healthcare training.  The outcome has been successfully noted, and the methods seem to have worked the way I expected.

  • The method of using the resources

As per the training methods, I have blended them to acquire the most out of the system. On one side I get indulged in fun activities and additionally engage the students in group activities.  The blend has been used by me to engage and support both the students who have a problem grasping the lessons (Barnett, 2011). The flexibility of the method helps the learners to adjust themselves.

I strongly rely on group exercise and activities rather than relying on boring lectures.  Each session ends with a discussion board. In fact, I have been preparing for discussion board each at the end of every module the students complete (Fletcher & Mullen, 2012). In that part, I would help the students connect the activities with the method of learning.  Besides, I always mix the students who have difficulty in learning with the students who are good at learning.  It helps to utilize the synchronous method of learning which has been able to produce a sharing environment where helping each other would balance each other’s learning.

  • Evaluation of the effect of experience

I have utilized two methods to acquire the experience effect from the students. The first way is through keen observation and outcome of the learning activities. The students with the issues of learning have shown a significant increase in learning and engaging themselves through effective performance from the activities (Pomeroy & Steiker, 2011). Besides, the other students have shown significant progress in applied learning method. The blend of learning methods has been able to produce significant results where the learners have shown significant advancement in improving the learning abilities.

The next method I have utilized is the student evaluation method. I have tested them with module-based learning activities (Fletcher & Mullen, 2012). The students have shown a stable performance throughout the various modules and topics. It has helped me to learn that the students have significant improvement in learning and responding to the method.

1- Descriptive

Unexpectedly, iPhone 6 is light. Comparatively, its screen size is bigger than the screen sizes of earlier iPhones. Moreover, it is thinner and it has a rounded and smooth body which is made of stainless steel, aluminium, and glass. The casing of the iPhone comes in two main colours which include gold and whitish silver. The casing also comes in another colour that is termed as “space gray” by the company. The space gray colour is like the colour of lead of a pencil, however, with darker gray accents.

The above text is an example of descriptive text as there is description of different aspects of the iPhone like size, material, and weight.

2-Narrative

A son of a countryman stepped on tail of a snake accidently. Suddenly, the tail turned and he died as the tail hit him. The countryman, father of the boy was so much angry that he cut off part of the tail of the snake. In revenge, the snake stung a number of cattle of the farmer. It was a great loss for him. However, the countryman decided that he would stop his fight with the snake. The countryman brought honey and food to liar’s mouth and politely said to the snake “let’s forgive and forget”.

A story is being told in the above text therefore, it is a narrative text. Moreover, it contains different aspects like plot is unravelling and conversing.

3-Literature

Stunning scientific discoveries were witnessed by the Americans in 20th century, like the space age, the atomic bomb, and the political manoeuvring coming from the cold war and the superiority of the American. Moreover, the Americans also witnessed continued social strife in religious intolerance and racial tension. The beginning of the space age was marked by the development of the V-2 weapon that has the capability to reach a height of 100 miles.

The above text is a piece of literature as it is telling the story starting from the 20th century’s scientific discoveries.

4-Argumentative

The community service should be made compulsory for high school students. It will be very helpful to the students regarding becoming well-rounded citizens. Moreover, it will have positive implications for the students in future as it will have positive effect on their college applications. However, there are some people who will oppose the idea by arguing that the student must spend extra time in studying and in extra-curriculum activities. Background

Homes institutions are those institutions which are responsible for the growth and rehabilitation of children like orphans, physical disable, mentally disable children. Other children are those who are separated from their parents or families in some disasters or accidents. Parents placed their children in those institutions for their better education and health care. The lives of children in the home institutions have both advantages and disadvantages for the children and there are many ethical issues of it. There are many organizations in the world, who are working for the welfare of the children the most famous organization is save the children; there are many branches of save the children in the world.

The main reason is that there is difficulty in providing appropriate and efficient services at family level and society for the prevention of children from their parents and families the second main reason is that there is poor provision of family residencies for example placement in a large family without the care of parents.

Reflective Writing – General
A reflection paper can be written on an assigned piece of reading, a lecture or an experience, such as an internship or volunteer experience. For the most part, in a reflection you cite your reactions, feelings and analysis of an experience in a more personal way than in a formal research or analytical essay.
Thoughts and Reactions
When writing a reflection paper on literature or another experience, the point is to include your thoughts and reactions to the reading or experience. You can present your feelings on what you read and explain them. You also can use a reflection paper to analyse what you have read. Like any other paper or essay, it should be cohesive and refer directly to the specific passage or quote in the material that inspired this feeling. You can include personal experience in a reflection paper, but do not depend on it; base your reactions and reflections on the material that is your subject.
Don’t Summarize
Do not use a reflection paper simply to summarize what you have read or done. Also, a reflection paper should not be a free flow of ideas and thoughts. The idea of a reflection paper is to write an essay describing your reactions and analysis to a reading or other experience; however, it is more formal than a journal entry, so leave out informal language and form.
Organize Your Thoughts
A reflection paper should be as organized as any other type of formal essay. Include an introduction, perhaps one that describes your expectations before the reading or the experience. You also may want to summarize the conclusions you came to during the process.
The body of your paper should explain the conclusions you have come to and why, basing your conclusions in concrete details from your reading and experience. End the paper with a conclusion that sums up what you got from the reading. Reflective Writing – Some ‘how to’ guidelines
1. Create your opening statement. Just like for any other form of writing, your opening
statement must be strong. Paint a picture to create a ‘hook’ so that the reader becomes
engaged. You should create a cohesive springboard for the reflections to come, rather
than a single point that you will prove throughout the paper.
2. It may help to create a ‘mind map’ on a separate sheet of paper. Draw a circle with your
topic written in the centre and draw lines around it, extending out. At each point, create
categories such as ‘experiences,’ ‘facts’ and ‘issues.’ Draw circles around those
categories, each with lines extending to further, more specific ideas. Brainstorm which
personal experiences you can disclose in your paper, as well as facts or events you might
include. From each specific idea, map out your thoughts and reactions.
3. Prepare and double-check any non-personal facts you will be using. The credibility of
your paper will depend not only on the voice you develop as an author but also on the
veracity of your story. Therefore reference.
4. Create an outline from your mind map. Select your strongest experiences and points and
group them into paragraphs. Order the paragraphs in a logical way, focusing on the
reflections the reader should absorb to follow the evolution of your thought. For
instance, if you are writing about the implications of your environmental footprint, you
would want a paragraph dealing with your personal footprint first before elaborating on
the larger implications this may have for society and business.
5. Include specific personal experiences. Any experiences you recount should be brief, but
make sure they are unique and concrete. Focus your memories to a short incident or
experience, rather than leaning on vagary. For instance, when writing about your impact
categories in the footprint quiz, you talk about the possible difficulty of changing
personal lifestyle choices based on lived experience (e.g. being forced to use the car
because of a lack of public transport)
6. Write your paper using your outline as a guide and use the reflective prompts provided
by your lecturer. As you write, focus on vivid, honest language. Weave your points and
experiences together in cohesive paragraphs. Keep one point or experience and its
reflections to a single paragraph.
7. Set aside your work and review it after a break. Smooth out your transitions between
paragraphs. One of the hardest parts of a reflective paper is to keep the reader tracking
with your mental or emotional journey. Ask yourself how the reader would feel with all
of this new information, and try to accommodate the uninitiated. Add explanation
where necessary. Eliminate redundant sentences or paragraphs.
8. Towards the end, broaden your personal perspective into something broader and
universal. After you have written your paper, write your conclusion. In the first sentence
of your last paragraph, sum up what you have written so far. Your final goal in the rest of
your closing paragraph is to push your paper one step further, toward a universal point
about the topic at hand. Ask yourself some of these questions as you conclude your

paper: What did you learn through these realisations and experiences? What action
should an individual/company/society facing these issues take next? How can you
reconcile your experience with the rest of the world?
9. Edit your work, and then edit some more. First drafts of reflective paper are prone to be
rambling. Ensure your transitions are easy to follow and smooth, and that your points
are salient. Seek to eliminate any excess phrasing. Ask friends to review your paper and
to point out any awkward or confusing passages so you can fix them. Ensure your word
choice is economical and concise … you will have many things to say with very little
room to write.
