LEADING LEAN PROJECTS

Introduction
PMBOK process is an essential factor of an assessment of the task which helps the project manager to analyse steps of each activity within a project assignment. This process guides the project authority to estimate appropriate measurements to deal with the current situation of a project assignment. It can help in enhancing the quality of this lean project and also bring various kinds of innovative thoughts and ideas to develop their assessment of the task process. This study explains the process and factors of the assessment of the task which can guide the project individuals to comprehend their abilities and operate in frequent manner.

  1. Explaining the process of the assessment of the task
    a. Choosing the suburb
Suburb defines a residential area outside of a city which mainly consists of homes and place of small businesses. In this study, an area has been selected in Perth, Western Australia to implement a dream house in Vincent which is situated in East Perth. According to Holmemo, Rolfsen & Ingvaldsen (2018), through the help of PMBOK, the project manager takes accountability to build a suitable and reliable home; the project manager is needed to establish an appropriate structure for the home which can be beneficial for this lean project assignment process. The suburb of Vincent is very popular in Perth and has been chosen because it is close to the office hubs and transportation services are readily available. In this area, convenient stores and supermarkets also are available which can manage the lifestyle in an efficient manner.
    b. Deciding the land size to buy
The project supervisor has chosen an area of 167.225 sq mi2 in Perth to implement a dream house for living. The size of this land help in implementing a proper house with a swimming pool and an area for garden is near about 2.78709 sq mi2 which can help individuals to be comfortable and live their life in an effective manner. Therefore, the project authority requires implementing a chart of this area to share information towards their project individuals. It can help project individuals to analyse the areas and distribute their tasks depending on the guidance from their project supervisor. The project manager needs to enhance the quality of their services and contribute efficient requirements towards their project individuals that they can perform their tasks in a sequential manner.
The supervisor of this project needs to follow the steps and procedures in accomplishing the goals of this lean project such as the scope, integration, scheduling, and quality, resources, risk and stakeholder management. In the words of Brioso (2015), through the aid of PMBOK, it helps the project authority to take suitable measurements in implementing a proper house in a residential area in Perth. During selecting size, the authority of this lean project needs to analyse the features of their land and take appropriate precautions to manage the information regarding the land. Through the aid of that information, the project individuals can operate their tasks and guide other members to do their activities in a structured manner. On the other hand, if any issues have been found therefore, the project authority is needed to organise a meeting for their team members to gather information about the issues and take suitable steps in overcoming those issues. It can help in enhancing the rate of performance of employees and project individuals can perform their tasks in a suitable manner to achieve the goals of their project assignment process.
    c. Choosing the best builder
National Home builders have been selected for establishing a dream home in Perth, Western Australia. The workers of National Homes have professional skills that they can deal with any kind of situation without facing any difficulties. Through the help of National Homes, the project authority can share the infrastructure and other information regarding this lean project towards them to enhance their knowledge about the key aspects of their project. Therefore, National Home builders can implement efficient services depending on the situation and enhance the structure of their project. The National Homes integrate new unique ideas and thoughts towards this the assessment of the task to develop the infrastructure and building quality of this project.
Using PMBOK, the project supervisor is required to contribute essential requirements towards National Homes that they can operate their activities in a reliable manner. Based on the viewpoint of Varajão, Colomo-Palacios & Silva (2017), it can help in enhancing the quality of their working abilities and also improve the infrastructure of their building. Additionally, the supervisor of this project needs to communicate efficiently to share their knowledge towards members in National Homes which can give a positive outcome for their project assignment process. On the other hand, the project authority can also share about risk factors to the authority of National Homes after conducting a thorough risk assessment. It can help them to recognise the factors of their assessment of the task process to deal with the current situation of their project. It would help in enhancing the quality of their service process and also maintain the infrastructure of their project assignment.
    d. Identifying the stakeholders for the project
Stakeholders are the essential factors of a project assignment process who play a key role towards the success of a project. Using PMBOK, the project manager can identify the stakeholders in this project, such as internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders are project supervisor, owner, project individuals and external stakeholder is National Homes. Internal stakeholders maintain the overall process and procedure of their lean project by delivering efficient services towards their project assignment. As per the viewpoint of Livesey (2016), these stakeholders can also integrate new creative ideas for their project assignment which can give a positive impact over their project assignment process which can enhance the quality of their assessment of the task. External stakeholder is the National Homes who can plan the layout followed by making the construction of the building.
  2. a. Explaining the project related factors of the assessment of the task
    SMART Planning
Specific The project supervisor needs to provide specific information about the project related factors such as land size, suburb and various others
Measurable The authority of this project requires in developing the process by providing efficient resources towards their project individuals of their assessment of the task.
Achievable Through the aid of PMBOK, this project gaols can be achieved.
Realistic Following the stated methodology can help in reaching the desired construction plan for the stated house.
Timed The project manager can guide its project individuals to fulfil their tasks on a given time of 2 years.

Smart planning helps in managing the structure of a project which also guides the project individuals to follow the structure in achieving the goals of a project. In this project, the project supervisor needs to implement a suitable plan for their project of establishing a dream home in the area of Perth, West Australia. Therefore, the project authority requires sharing their relevant information about their plan within a meeting and also contributing relevant information about their project towards National Homes. Thus, the builders can take suitable measures to build an appropriate dream home for individuals that they can live their life without facing any issues.
Open Communication
The significance of open communication helps in comprehending the viewpoints of each other and also builds a suitable relationship among them. The project individuals of this project need to use efficient communication techniques to contribute reliable information towards other team that they can understand the interaction of each others. In the words of Rehacek (2017), it can help in improving the relationship among project individuals which can give a positive result towards their project assignment process. Through the aid of efficient communication, the authority of their project can easily share their authentic information towards their builders. It can help builders to comprehend their tasks and operate accordingly.
Collaboration skills
Collaboration skills help in enhancing the quality of the working abilities within a project assignment. From the study of Errihani, Elfezazi & Benhida (2015), through the aid of collaboration skills, the supervisor of this project can easily address the positive and negative viewpoints of team members within a project. Project manager can also analyse the requirements of their project and provide essential needs towards their members to maintain the workflow their project.
Risk management
Risk management is one of the crucial factors of a project assignment process which helps in guiding project authority to recognise the risk factors and take suitable steps in dealing with those risks. The process of their risk management can help in managing the growth of their project assignment.
b. Discussing about the the assessment of the task processes
Project initiation
Project initiation phase is the initial process of a project which is mainly operated by the supervisor of this project. In this project, the authority implements a plan for their project and holds a meeting where they can share their plans and information regarding their project. In the words of Marcelino-Sádaba, González-Jaen & Pérez-Ezcurdia (2015), it can help project individuals in developing the knowledge about the project therefore; they can take appropriate precautions to handle each activity of their project.
Project implementation
In this process, the supervisor of this project can distribute their assessment of the task team into various departments according to the abilities.
