Definition of a manager
A manager is a person who takes charge or subset a company, an organization or a task. A manager has a team or staffs to do the operation and report him about working growth and progress. He will seem smart and expert in his field in front of his employment with a positive and supportive attitude (Anon, n.d.). He works in a momentum by help a core team or staff to achieve the best goal for a company, group or an organization. He is not a superhero by having a power of doing a million works at once. The vital role of a manager, he can distribute the responsibilities among the employees and assist them to do the operation as demand. As a manager, he has to be very flexible and cool minded. As an example, a restaurant has a house front manager to create a roster plan and distribute the work for each of the staff. He supervises the all staff in every step of work like a chef, waiter, barman etc. Another example, imagine you are the blindfold and you to go one to another floor by stairs. Then what will happen, you will get some resistant and you can be got hurt also (Anon, n.d.). But if you get anyone who holds your hand and gives you the direction, it will be easy for you. And that is a manager’s reflection. He can’t be a manager. Employees get power and motivation from their manager. A manager wants to ensure a positive and good environment in a workplace (Anon, n.d.).
The goal of Manager
The goal of real manger build a proper management plan about operations and have the ability to achieve high performance from an employee. It comes from a positive and friendly environment which is created by a manager (Anon, n.d.). Employees also have the ability to detect a problem and concern to the manager to fix it. A manager should also maintain a professional environment to get a high performance. The manager should ensure that the employees are doing their work fulfill to reach the goal of a company. A good manager can’t be dominating person but the supportive and motivating person for employees. Without motivation, the employees can’t be successful in their job placement and can’t reach the goal of success. As a manager, he should take any assignment very positively (Anon, n.d.). Suppose an advertising company’s manager has a theme which he did not know about it before. Then he should take this and make a plan with employees. He should make a proper distribution of work to make a good advertisement. But a person who wants to be a manager, he must know what is he doing? And what will overcome by this?
Definition of a leader:
A leader is a person who leads or dominates a people for a country, group, task, an organization. It is an ability of a person or individual to influence and give the direction of his followers (Anon, n.d.). A leader makes topic not the direction for employees. He just deals with a client to take any projects; He just gives the order to do something. He doesn’t take any extra pressure of work. He gives a deadline and order to work. He normally deals with a manager. He doesn’t have a relation with employees directly but he gives them an assignment. He doesn’t have to take a smart and cool attitude. Usually, CEO and MD is a leader of a company or organization (Anon, n.d.). An example, just imagine you are the owner of different kinds of shops. Then for all of the shops, you have to give time. So, in this case, you have kept some experienced employees to deal with customers. You will just give a target and command. They will follow this. And that is a leader.
The goal of Leader:
A goal of a leader is getting a best topic and project for a company or an organization. He has to get the ability to get a project from the client. It comes from his professional attitude which will be the best trigger for him (Irving and Berndt, 2017). He has to maintain a good contact with his manager about the project. He has to give a push and remember to his manager about the project. He should ensure that his manager can do this for him very well. He will lead manager to get high performance from employees to get a goal. If a company faces a big issue then the leader has to fix it with the manager. He will not like a motivated person. He just looks like dominating person who just wants his operation done by his employees. He doesn’t need to research about anything about the task (Irving and Berndt, 2017). He will just give the order to the manager to get his goal. A leader can’t get an emotional attachment to his employees. He will take a dissension very rapidly. Ha should get the ability to maintain a crucial situation. Suppose a hotel owner, he will play the role of leader for his hotel (Irving and Berndt, 2017). He will just declare the theme. And his manager will change into with reality by his employees. He has to say the way of all things like decoration, food, cleaning, cooking etc. The manager will take proper steps to make it real. He will just give an order with limited time (Irving and Berndt, 2017).
Contrasts between a Leader and a Manager
A manager takes a full charge of a company being an employee. But a leader just gives the order to reach his goal of being an owner. A manager works very hard to reach highest for his company but a leader just leads or gives the keywords (Irving and Berndt, 2017). A manager is a real hero to achieve a goal for a company, groups or task but a leader just a dominating person who wants his work in a deadline. A manager has to be very motivated, cool minded, positive and friendly with a professional attitude for his employees. But a leader can’t be like this. The manager has to ensure that all employees are working well or bad. But a leader will just monitor the manager (Irving and Berndt, 2017).
The leader just creates a vision and managers make it a successful goal. Leaders make a painting and manager will turn it into a reality. The manager thinks beyond everything he does. He activates employees to be a part of some terrific bigger achievement. He knows the active team can accomplish a lot more work than individual by their high-functioning working skill. He maintains a process of setting, measuring for achieving a goal. He can operate a situation to reach or exceed his goal (Irving and Berndt, 2017).
A leader is a change agent but the manager maintains a status quo. A leader can be a disturbing person. Innovation is a vital role of a manager. The manager tries to know about working stately and he tries to find a better way of working. He knows the change of system when he starts to create. He always sticks with structure, reefing system to better him (Irving and Berndt, 2017).
A leader is unique but a manager works like a copy. A leader always sticks in one thing. But a manager always tries to explore the unique things to get better. The leader is happy with his comfort zone. But a manager always faces new terms and condition for different kinds of responsibility (Irving and Berndt, 2017). A manager works with self-awareness and an active attitude to build their unfitness more explorers with differentiability. He always wants to stand in his own shoes. He has to be very authentic and transparent. He enters prates things what he has learned from others and adapt their style to reach his goal.
A leader takes a risk in his sweet well but a manager always tries to deal with any risk. The leader is always wanted to try new kinds of risk in his working place even he can miserably fail over there (Irving and Berndt, 2017). The manager thinks that failure is one step toward success. He always searches the path to decrease the possibility of risk. He keeps a belief to avoid the risk not even facing an embracing situation.
A leader is in for a long-term but the manager is for a short-term. A leader thinks that what is he thinking about anything? He is always right. But he doesn’t take a decision by knowing the goal’s destination. He just gets motivation without getting anything. But a manager works for a short-term goal with his team. He just encourages his team member to do many works in a short time to reach in goal (Irving and Berndt, 2017).
A person can be a leader but he cannot be a manager without skills. If anyone thinks the leader is processed, then he will get to know that it is a very rapid process. A leader can know many things in the very fast way. But skills do not come fast to anyone. It takes time to grow in a human mind. Leader adopts new things at a speed and also fails at the same speed. He is always very curious to invent the new world of work (Irving and Berndt, 2017). He is not thinking about getting information just want to be a bigger thing. The manager is a box of over information which helps him o reaches his goal of success. His skills accelerate in adopting the behavior reward.
The leader makes a sweet relationship and manger invent new process and system. The leader always has to make a good relation with stakeholders to recognize his mission and vision. He knows the convincing way for stakeholders. He tries to build a good connection with some promises. The manager gives his full focus on the development of a process which takes goal closer. He focuses on an analytical and systematic process to reach the desired outcome. He works with his motivated team (Irving and Berndt, 2017).
Leader coaches a company but managers give the directions. A leader knows that how he can control their employee in a way. He sees his employee as a competitor and scared about their potential. Sometimes he makes a great example of racism by his capitalist attitude. But a manager wants to use the potential of employees. He gives the right guidance of the best path to reach in a successful goal (Anon, n.d.).
A leader can get fans but a manager can be a factory for making good employees. The leader has some fans which he can get famous and followers. By this, he can make his own brand popular. But it will not exist for the long term (Anon, n.d.). This fans will just work like an advertisement which can give him creditability but not permanent. But a manager can make the best employees. A person who wants to be a manager he needs any time to adopt the skills, passions, stability, motivation, courage, discipline. During this season a manager gets many experiences which really help him to be a good manager (Anon, n.d.). So, employees get to know about responsibly by their manager. He will explore his knowledge in any way. A manager teaches an employee from A to Z of the curriculum of working place. He teaches an employee like this employee can be a good manager one day.
Conclusion
At last what is the main point comes out that is a leader like a king who can order many things to do but the real hero is a manager who creates the reality. A leader is a person of dominating but a manager is a person of help and an open institution for employees. A leader can be made in a one day but a manager is the result of a long time with skills and dedication. A leader can be a celebrity but a manager can be an idol for the employee. So, at last, it can be said that a manager doesn’t need to be a leader.
